I don't believe you will be able to do this without code (qRules can do this - it is a code library you use via rules). Here is a link that suggests leveraging Excel Services - which if you have access to those & this is not an Office 365 browser form, may be an option.

If you need to actually update the total fund in the list with that value - you'll end up needing to use CAML and the SharePoint Lists webservice. Here's a thread on that which may help you get started: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/12872/45420.aspx#45420

Hello,
I was wanting to know if it is possible to implement a search function on a field within InfoPath, so that when a user starts typing in a text box, relevant results from a database start to be displayed? Kind regards,
Nate

Well, I learned to just live with it... Problem is that I get a lot of calls in a company with about 1000 employee... Still hoping for a fix to come out.

InfoPath Form Library forms:
For the two existing "Required" fields that currently have no defaults values . These two fields are not used for future submission cycles. If I add a default value to FALSE or a Zero for these two Boolean type fields. Would that affect existing data? Meaning would the default value ...

Just an FYI - you may have very well had current() and then made a minor modification to your schema. InfoPath sometimes (I have not yet tracked down when or why, but I think it is when a field is added) REMOVES current() from more complicated formulas like this. It does this to make sure we all get plenty of cardio when our heart rates shoot up ...
