You need to set the default for the check box to "no".  That way when the form is opened from the template the value is no, the section is hidden, and then when checked will be set to yes.  Otherwise it is blank at open, which is not "no" and therefore visible.

It looks like you are correct, you have to download the whole enterprise suite, not just InfoPath. 

Clay, Thanks very much for that info, your suggestion was perfect, thats all I needed.  I have looked for a trial version link for Infolink 2007 but I can not find it as a stand alone, always enterprise download. If you have a link could you post it please?
