I have a library at the root level: http://server/DataConnections That my forms in different site collections can use: http://server/sites/sitecollection Does that make sense?

I've always just used the URL to the data connection in this instance. So - http://server/library/udcxName.udcx Is that not working for you?

Is your site http or https? I know with REST data connections, we saw some issues in IE8 with https - I have no way of knowing if the same type of thing could be occurring here, of course.... Any additional info in the SharePoint logs?

That's interesting - I've not run into that issue before. Are there any additional messages in your SharePoint Logs? Have you tried a web search on your error message?

So - your form loads slow, and it sounds like it runs slow? And if you save an XML file to SharePoint and try to open it again, it times out? What kind of rules do you have running on open? Are you loading a bunch of data into the form? If you'd like, attach it here and I can try it out on one of our servers, maybe see if we see the same ...
