Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage (when attempting to load a specific View)

I have SharePoint 2010 , Infopath 2010, SQL 2008 r2, IE9.  I am now working on my 5th "application" utilizing an InfoPath form with 6 views.  I have done this before for a library with no issues, huge number of fields, tons of calculations, 4 data connections, etc. ... LOVE InfoPath.

So now I have a doc library, 1 form, 6 views. 50% less fields that the example above with no calculations.  I have made sure no fields are Rich Text and size values have been set for all. I am following the same logic as the example above for Form Load, Save and Submit buttons.  Now, I am able to Add document. The form loads really slowly, but it does load. And if I change my form load logic I am able to Add document using each view, one at a time). I can save each one.  BUT if I attempt to edit an existing doc, after some time (which appears as if IE is timing out) IE 9 tells me the ever so helpful Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.

I have used several different user accounts with the same results so it isnt a permissions thing.

I have several other "apps" that run great and have much more of a load since the forms are much larger. This also tells me it isn't a server thing.

Anyone have any other suggestions? I am ready to turn over to my users for testing whenever I can get this issue resolved.

    Many thanks!

So - your form loads slow, and it sounds like it runs slow? And if you save an XML file to SharePoint and try to open it again, it times out?

What kind of rules do you have running on open? Are you loading a bunch of data into the form? If you'd like, attach it here and I can try it out on one of our servers, maybe see if we see the same issue.

Do any of your views have drop down controls that have the checkbox for show unique items only selected? That once killed a form's performance for me, so I'm super suspicious. Are you the SharePoint Admin? If not, could you have her get you the logs? They may have some helpful information as to what is going wrong.

    Hilary -

Sorry for the delay. I was out Friday. It appears to have been a rules issue.  I started over by taking 1 view and  slowing adding back rules, data connections and the form load and save/submit actions. I was also able to remove about 100 rules I had (really) on various fields. it helps to be able to go back and re-think issues you originally thought there was only one way to do.  I am still certain there are much more efficient ways of designing/administering these SharePonit solutions but until I can get training for my SP resource I am having to wing it.

As always thank you so much for responding this time and in the past. You have really pulled me out of the ditch before.

Isn't it amazing what a 2nd draft of a form can do? I'm glad to hear you were able to streamline yours!
