• Re: Hiding Fields with Conditional Formatting

Have you verified if the conditional formatting works with just the institution being blank? It could be that one of the conditions triggers this but not the other. Have you gotten role based forms to work before?

Hi Greg, My form works but when I tried to publish it to the SharePoint site, I got the following error. InfoPath has encountered an error. The operation failed. Access is denied. I have been able to upload other forms to this site before. Why can't I upload this form and what is the fix for that? Thanks

  • Re: GetUserCollectionFromSite

Hi Matt, I set up a rule under form options to query the data connection dummy users onload event. I got some results but I don't know what it means. The results in the ddl were login1 and login2. I tried the users data connection and no such luck. Is this good or bad. What do I need to see the users of the SharePoint site? Thanks!

  • Re: SQL Data/Query Fields

If the query is static per form or only a couple different small ones you can edit secondary data connection's sql statement. When editing the dataconnection there is a edit SQL button on the right. So possibly you could create the query in SQL and have it only return those rows but this would be the same for all form users. If you want ...

  • Re: SQL Data/Query Fields

In my form I want to pick records from a very large SQL table (circa 170,000 records) to build a list of ordered items. I've tried converting a queryfield to a drop down in the repeating table, but the query takes for ever for the reasons you have already identified elsewhere in this thread. I think that a button which copies a row from one ...
