• Re: Infopath 2007 sharepoint 2007 User Roles

I do not believe their is a way to grant field permissions on a granular basis with SharePoint or InfoPath without digital signatures. However digital signatures are a bit overkill and probably would be tough to manage. You can use the Database Accelerator Web Services Suite to have this granular control. Qdabra Database Accelerator ...

  • Dynamically change URL of web service

I did a search through the threads and several googles but I could not find anything for this. I have a web service setup as a data connection. What I would like to do is on certain events, change the URL of the data connection in code i.e., jscript. What is required for this to occur? Thanks,

I have created two libraries for a specific Infopath form. The form will be filled out and submitted by the General users from one form library and upon submitting the form will go to another library where the workflow is started for the IT Group. The IT group was initially setup to just Read the submitted form and not ...

  • Re: Using Infopath to create a folder and save a form to Sharepoint upon Submit

Change Management is always the greatest challenge. Some of them should at least recognize the limitations and pit falls of their current system. I have a demo of a forms management solution, realy an "advanced" InfoPath form, that would replicate and provide much of their current functionality in a better architecture. If you ...

  • Re: Using Infopath to create a folder and save a form to Sharepoint upon Submit

Thanks again Clay - I appreciate your response and to be honest, it's what I was expecting. Unfortunately, this is a usergroup that has been completing the same tasks with a Word Doc, a set of Macros and saving to a LAN folder structure for years - they want to replicate this with the new functionality. Sounds like I need to put my thinking ...

  • Workflows in Infopath - not using Sharepoint

Hi I am creating an employee appraisal form. Is it possible to have an employee complete a form (with how well they think they have done using radio buttons, text etc), the submit button sends it to their manager who then amends it, it gets sent to the employee who acknowledges receipt of it - we do not currently have Sharepoint so would have to ...

  • Re: Using Infopath to create a folder and save a form to Sharepoint upon Submit

For this there is no InfoPath or SharePoint functionality. You would need to have a service program running all the time which detected the new file, parsed the name and created the folders, and then copy or move the file and rename it. There is shareware software that will do this. What I have found though is that once you get a ...

  • Re: How to get row number (index) in repeating table from a button click inside the table

I have found another post that showsvar nCount = eventObj.Source.selectNodes("preceding-sibling::Row").length + 1; and it states that this should give me the current row. However I believe this code is for C#. Assuming that it works in C#, is there a VB syntax of this code?
