InfoPath Dev

I would like my employee ID (string) field to a Profile column in a SharePoint list.  When InfoPath creates the column in the document library it will only create a column of type string.  If I create a site column in SharePoint called MyEmployeeID of type 'profile' the Property Promoting screen won't let me ...

Qucik FYI,    It's browser enabled form ( and it's in 2007 infopath).
