Hi All,
We have many Infopath forms in my current company. When a form is completed and emailed to someone who has never used the form before, they recieve the above message and the form wont open. The fix so far has been for the user to go and open the original form from sharepoint, close it and then open the completed form ...

Hi
To achieve this goal you need to specify your field as 'Is Identity' and then set the 'Identity Increment" to 1, that way it will gurantee that no two forms have the same number and will go on indefinitely.
I hope this helps.

Hi

This can be done without such a servce such that my originators specify the email address to mail the form on to the ...

Hi
Taking Clay's suggestion a little further, are there any fields on the amended version whose data are different to a new form. This difference can be used to drive the situation Clay specifies without adding extra fields.

Hi
The best solution is the Qdabra Database Excellerator but I have used a quick and dirty method as a way around the problem. Create a field to use as your workflow tracker and at each stage change the field to a different value, that way you know where in the sequence it is. To report on this I would strongly recommend attaching it ...

Hi
As far as I am aware you need to submit to a specific type of doc library called a Forms library. This can be created by publishing the form to SharePoint then getting the libraries' address and adding that in to the submit statement.
This shoudl work fine, any probs, I will try my best to answer
