  • Migrating InfoPath 2003 to 2007

Hi one and all I have been offered the chance to pilot Office 2007 (and InfoPath2007) for my company, but as my colleagues will not be piloting the software I have a few concerns regarding the migration and hope you can help.  My concerns are: Will forms created in 2003 migrate easily to 2007? Can forms created in 2003 be ...

  • Is there a way to default a section or entire document without code?

Hi all, I have a pretty lengthy infopath 2003 document that has a lot of conditional hiding/showing of sections depending on the options picked.  The logic is actually getting pretty tough to manage, but I'll address that later. What I want to do is pretty simple in theory.  If a section is hidden by an option that is picked, not ...

  • Re: How to disable submit email dialog or cancel button on this dialog

I tried to set my form fully trusted by code signing. I followed the steps in Robert's blog (http://thorprojects.com/blog/archive/2007/06/30/670.aspx). However, I still get the confirmation dialog window when submit sending emails. As Adam said, it may be the issue between OutLook TRUSTS InfoPath. I am not sure how to use the regform.exe ...

  • Re: write to a excel file

Hi As clay says if you link a form an initial design stage to a database then that data can be linked to an excel spreasheet through Microsoft Query to regularly refresh the data, each time the sheet is opened.  If you want a hand on this give me a shout as have done it in the past for some of my projects. Cheers

  • Re: How to disable submit email dialog or cancel button on this dialog

Hi To remove this diaogue box you also need to make the form fully-trusted, this is a complicated process that involves the client having to download the template to their local machine so that it has explicit rights over all aspects of the PC's software, then Outlook TRUSTS InfoPath when it asks for an email. Fully-trusting your form ...

  • Re: Infopath Sharepoint List Content Type

Aloha Clay, Thanks for the reply. Unless the form would work like it does in a document library I wouldn't want to use it. I'm mainly concerned about data validation. I could write an event handler for the list to validate data but a user would have to submit the record in order to validate it...no real time validation... If you have ...

  • Re: Quit signature wizard

Hi the best clue I could give you is a programmatic rule that is conditional on the signature process not completing successfully.  Then you can step in to perform an action after that. I hope this helps Cheers
