I came up with a solution to my own problem and thought I'd provide an update for others.
Since I couldn't figure out how to tack on a hidden column, I decided to use a good ol' fashioned global array to keep track of things. Basically, any time the field is edited (onAfterChange), I add the ID to the global ...

Works fine. I just added a tag to each templates XML to name it. And I search through the collection for the correct form.
You could probobly search through looking for the InfoPath generated unique identifyer, but thats not nearly as maintainable.

Got another question:
Is there a way to remove a digital signature through code? Right now, if I need to edit the data I need to ask the user to remove the signature and re-run the process...

You could use conditional formatting ont he fields to highlight them when they were blank.
I believe with code you can improve the error handling to list the fields, you would have to check for some other posts on this.

Just wondering if you figured out how to do this because I'm looking to do something similiar.
I have a repeating table on my form that is based on a secondary data source (SharePoint list). I have set one of the fields to be editable (i.e. everything else is read only) in order to allow the user to update this field. At the ...

The problem exists in web based WYSIWYG tools: pasting from Word is a mess due to all the specialized Microsoft code. As a solution to that issue, most tools provide a "Paste from Word" button that attempts to clean up the code. Therefore, I don't believe this is considered a bug.

Hello,
Does anyone know how to automatically highlight a fieldname in another color if the field is a (required field *) and upon saving the form, it is blank. I know there is a red asterisk that shows required fields initally, but For eg. I have a form whereby there are several fields, and the user has to scroll to fill out fields ...
