I am setting up a timesheet store using InfoPath and SharePoint.
The timesheet form consists of a repeating table for information such as task/hours spent per day/location/customer.
We're trying to roll it out across MOSS to remove the need for all users to install InfoPath and so they can access it everywhere. I'm having a problem in ...

Thanks for your reply,
I am familiar with the concat function in the rules option, but would you mind showing me typical script that would use the concat function within the code which includes a field within the form. I am not wholly up with the "syntax" of addressing fields etc within the code editor.

Hi Clay,
Thanks for your help again. I was wondering if you could explain something for me. I understand that I create the following rule on the datepicker - substring-before(datepicker,"/") and I understand how to set an action as a message but I am not sure how I tell the date picker that it should not ...

It all depends on what you are doing and what your ultimate goal is. With Qdabra's DBXL you have a platform with lots of potential for multiple solutions or extending this one. You can probably do a lot of what you are describing without it but what I find is as you get into it and or users start requesting obvious extensions of ...

Hey Rico. How are you using the web services? Are you setting them up as receive data connections in the InfoPath UI?
Once you put in the http://servername/qdabrawebservice/aduserinfo.asmx you should see all three methods listed. I would recommend you add all three seperately to a blank form and then display all of the returned data and play ...

Hi Clay
Thanks for the welcome :)
I will follow through with your recommendations and see how it goes. All this will be sitting ontop of MOSS and SQL so will I still require Qdabra?
A sample layout or template would be much appreciated in relations to this scenario.
Cheers

My experience with the data connection wizard is that it will silently fail if you have a low memory situation. Try rebooting and see if that fixes it.

I believe you would need to create a seperate repeating data source in your form and then populate it with your two seperate data sources and then bind that to your multiple select.

Put a rule on your date picker where the substring-before(datepicker,"/") does not equal the month numeric of the drop down value. Then have the action be your message or mild electric shock or whatever. :)
