Hi - the error on your query is that you don't have a column named "SalesPersonLkup" in your table that you are querying - is that the case?
As to your question:
Also, Im unsure what drop down im supposed to be populating?!
Well - the code should give you a populate data source - yours is ...

Hi - unfortunately, it isn't possible in InfoPath to use field values or functions in your SQL queries. You'd need to use code, use a web service connection instead of a SQL connection (our web service, DBXL, can query SQL DBs with form values) or you could try qRules which has a command that can do this. Sorry that there isn't an out ...

Were you saving the template created in IP 2010 as an IP 2007 template? You must have been, or your users wouldn't have been able to open it at all. There must just be some difference between the data connections in the two versions - glad it works for you now...

Here is the real issue you are going to have with this -
The multi select checkbox is bound a repeating field. When you select an item, another instance of the repeating field is added by InfoPath. You would need to either:

Can you drag the data fields onto your form and preview? Then you'd be able to see if the issue is with the control (dropdown) or with the data at least.

You should be able to add another table when you create your form off your SQL DB - Select the main table first, then you can add the other table and relationship - as long as all the columns are allowable for submit (IP has some restrictions there) it shouldn't be a problem. You'd mentioned:
I'm kind of lost on this one after ...

The error message indicates an issue converting a string to a number - what's your code?

You are submitting via code? Or just with a regular submit connection?
