I see that this is indeed a limitation for InfoPath 2007 and will only be possible if you use an owssvr data connection along with some coding. Unfortunately, I haven't tried this method yet but there should be guides out there that shows how this is done via code. I have updated the link for the webinar. As for browser enabling, can you elaborate further on the issue? Also, may I know what kind of receive data connection are you using to populate the drop down controls? Thanks, Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by donstephen on 09-21-2015 Re: Date format in date control field type Hi Davydcondy, I have attached a form which fixes the date format for the text box. It looks like there will be two scenarios if the date entered will have different string lengths (041315 or 41315). If you check the rules on field1, you will notice two rules that will run depending on the scenario stated. Please check if this approach would ... If the text box's data type is set to Date, then it will look for the format yyyy-mm-dd. I'll update the previous approach with a different formula. Posted to Controls (Forum) by donstephen on 09-21-2015 Re: Have a sharepoint list show in 2 drop down list boxes on infopath form Hi Trush, To my understanding, you would like to build a form with a cascading dropdown logic based on the initial dropdown category selection. We have a webinar here that demonstrates how to create that logic: Cascading Dropdowns in InfoPath. However I am assuming that you are only using one SharePoint list, is that correct? The ... Here's a guide/reference you can use for paging: Add Paging to Large Tables for Faster Performance. Also when dealing with 500+ rows, I would recommend transferring the query logic onto the paging buttons - this might be ... Hi MACWAYNE, To my understanding, you would like to update data from a SharePoint list using a different form aside from the one that is published to the SharePoint site. If so, then you may use code for this approach, or you may want to try qRules's SubmitToSharePointList which will make it a lot easier for you - assuming that you are not ... Please follow these steps: 1. Add a rule to your textbox control with the following conditions (make sure to select "and" operator): a. field "does not match pattern" Custom pattern, and enter the pattern: ... I am assuming you are and would like to receommend Qdabra's Excel to InfoPath Migration Tool. We have guides here: http://www.infopathdev.com/files/folders/excel_to_xml/default.aspx And a video tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JFxjC904Sc Hope this helps. Posted to InfoPath 2010 (Forum) by donstephen on 09-17-2015 How to use Qdabra's InfoPath to SharePoint List Tool for qRules v6.1 or higher Wondering why you can't publish your InfoPath form to a SharePoint custom list? This is a limitation of both InfoPath and SharePoint - you can only publish forms to a form library/document library but not to a custom list. Submitting data to a custom list requires the use of content types – which is a long process. We find that many users ...
