You'll need a secondary field and a section to help you out.  When the checkbox is checked, display a section that asks you yes or no.  If the user answers yes, then you can dismiss/hide the section again and leave the checkbox set to yes.  If they say no, dismiss/hide the section and reset the value of the checkbox to no.  ...

Hmmm that's interesting.  Perhaps you can try going into the properties of the control, go to browser tab, and select Never.  This will prevent postbacks on the control which may be why its doing this. 

You can use a picture control.  This will attach and display the picture inline on the form itself.  You'll need SharePoint 2010 to be able to add this control to browser forms.

I'd suggest creating a separate print view and using another control like a text box or expression box to display the value of the people picker.  It shouldn't be too difficult to create and you can specify which view to use as the print view in the view properties.

This is actually IE or your browser that is displaying the tooltip so InfoPath isn't responsible for the length of which the tooltip displays.  In any case, I'm not sure there is a way to actually increase the amount of time the tooltip displays.  Sorry couldn't be more help :(
