Ok Jake.
If the data from SQL is not being saved into your form, you are just showing them the secondary data then yes it would not be available offline. You would need to move the data into the form itself to be preserved. I know there are some examples here of copying repeating data from a secondary dc to a group in your main DOM.

What exactly do you mean by "XML InfoPath file" and "programmatically"?
Are you talking about reading an InfoPath form file (the resulting XML file saved from a form template) outside of InfoPath (in some other application)?
Are you talking about reading the form manifest.xsf file?
Are you talking about writing code within ...

Here's what I did, and it was working fine for me:
I took your same basic schema (except I had a days node around the repeating day node).
Then I added two fields: day_id_seed, and detail_id_seed. I set both of these to a default value of 1.
For day_id... I set the default value to day_id_seed (and unchecked update value when result changes ...

I should have mentioned that they will only be working with a subset of the data. Based on some fields they enter we have pass a custom SQL command to the dataadapter. For example there is a table that holds all of the people in the company, the name, phone, etc. They will fill in a specific hierarchy and get back only the people who are under ...

They could run SQL Express on their own machines and then sync the data when online is about the only way I can think ...

Awesome tip! Thanks for sharing this.
Have you verified that every one of those <script/> blocks are actually needed to accomplish this? It looks like all you might need is the one for Core.js. I'd rather not include any additional blocks than are required.

First make sure the latest version is published to SharePoint.
Then have them clear the cache on their computers.
Open InfoPath and you should get a window with recently used forms, etc. Highlight the template in question and over on the right task list use the Remove this form selection. Then try reopening the form and it should go ...

I assume this is not possible but want to make sure before I give up:
I want to automatically submit a form every five minutes while it's open in the browser. I do this to maintain a "lock" on the form, which is actually rendered as a secondary data source in another form.
I was hoping to use System.Timers, but I can't access ...

Does anybody know why InfoPath 2003 (a .Net 1.1 application) defaults to using the most recent .Net version installed like an ASP.NET application does?
This is the behavior I am seeing. I am developing a manged code form in Visual Studio C# 2003. Rules are not working and neither are defaults after a recent installation of .Net ...
