  • Re: Footer Question

I am not sure it is possible. You would need to put line feed characters in the footer text. I have had to manually manipulate the footer before. Extract source files and then open the Manifest.xdf with notepad. Do a find for your footer and then you can edit it directly and play with ASCII characters for LF/CR. Let us know what happens.

  • Re: Can I publish a simple form in IIS for people to complete and print?

It would require InfoPath Form Service, which is part of MOSS 2007 or can be licensed from Microsoft. You may want to investigate the Database Accelerator Package as it includes a Form Viewer for your server to render the form and it is much cheaper. The only issue I see is that printing from Internet Explorer might not be what you need. You ...

  • Re: Help with "shopping cart" made with repeating tables

What you need to do is rearchitect a bit. Have your repeating table but move the drop down selection within the repeating table and bind it to the part number field. Put it in the initial column where you might display part number anyway.  Setup the source to your secondary connection which queries all records in the Table.  Then the ...

  • Can I publish a simple form in IIS for people to complete and print?

Hello,  I have a simple form designed in Infopath 2007.  It is basically just a non disclosure agreement that we need people to fill in a few fields on and then print.  I thought I would be able to publish this form to IIS or somehow make it useable in IIS but I have been able to find out how.  Can anyone assist?  Is ...

  • Re: Combine xml data

Hi George, Based on my analysis yesterday, I don't think this is an ado dataset diffgram issue. It's likely some network protocol issue as you suggested in your 4:22pm private e-mail. Nevertheless, you don't have to resort to manually entering. Just save, open in Notepad, delete the xdadoset element at the bottom. Save. Reopen in ...

  • Re: Sorting a dropdownlist

Hi Joseph and Clay, XSL supports sorting but that will require manually modifying your view.xsl. Extract your source files and open your xsl and add the xsl:sort to the dropdown control. Not sure it will work for dropdowns but I know it works for tables, etc., so it should work. This will require an xd:preserve block around the control so that ...

  • Re: Persistent InfoPath error

If you are seeing Getting Started screen, it wouldn't be failing because of script. You only see the Getting Started when you are opening InfoPath without a form template. Script only executes in form templates. Hence, this is probably just a bad install. Have you tried repairing Office?

  • Re: Combine xml data

I'm very confident that webservices will fix this issue that we are experiencing, and we are planning on implementing soon. Until then I have these forms that did not submit.  Here is the scenario: The user opens a new form and fills in 4 of the required fields, and then through code the form submits to SQL, runs a stored ...

  • Help with "shopping cart" made with repeating tables

Hello everyone. I am still very new to Infopath.  I am trying to create something similar to a shopping cart using repeating tables. Here is the basic breakdown: There are two parts to the form: 1 drop down box and the repeating table  The dropdown box has a list of part numbers.  The repeating table has ...

  • re: Use Code to Determine a Rule Condition

Hi, I have a IP2007 browser-enabled form, and i'm trying to use the xdExtension to run some code. I've check the manifest.xsf and the xdExtension namespace is there. At the update of the form, on the form server, I have an error about xdExtension namespace within the manifest.xsf. Do you know what can possibly cause this ? Thanks
