• Re: Help with "shopping cart" made with repeating tables

Hi Clay, Thank you for the guidance on this. I recreated the form as you suggested.  I am having a small issue with it though. First, I am using Infopath 2003 SP2 if that is pertinent.    Let's say this is the table I am using in my Access database PN         MFG A11   ...

  • Re: Persistent InfoPath error

Hi Srudolph728, This is very interesting. I have never heard of anyone writing a default script for all InfoPath forms. I didn't even know it was possible. Usually, the script runs as part of an XSN not as part of InfoPath executable. So what you are saying is: if you just go to Windows->Start and choose InfoPath, it flashes the Getting ...

  • Re: Auto Populate InfoPath Form by looking up an ID value in SharePoint list

Hi Dpriceva and welcome to our forum! Yes, in the InfoPath Designer you can add a SharePoint data connection that populates a dropdown from this SharePoint list. However, if it is really long, there are two issues: 1) the view may restrict it to 100 items (default), so you have to change the SharePoint default view properties to be large enough ...

  • Cannot connect to local Access database while no network connection

This is my first infopath 2007 project, did a little work with infopath 2003.  I have built a form that is linked to an Access database and runs on the local computer, which as of now, is not connected to any network.  When I hit preview, or run the form, I get an error box, heading is "Network Connection Unavailable" and the ...

  • Re: Auto-Generated file name

You would need to go through the reference or do some searching.  I am pretty sure there is a property to return file name.  I think I have seen posts on it before.

  • Re: Auto-Generated file name
So you want to know the filename of an existing form that is being opened by the user? There is a way to get this in code I know.
Do you know what the code is for retrieving the name of an existing form?  I'm fairly new to this so I've been looking at the XDocument ...

  • Getting user name

I have an InfoPath 2003 form published on SharePoint 2003. In this form I'd like to auto-populate the "User" field with the SharePoint login/profile name when the user fills out the form from SharePoint. I was able to set up a data connection to UserProfileService.asmx?WSDL, but when I opened the form up in SharePoint I get this ...

  • Re: Combine xml data

Patrick, Thanks for the information.  We have run a few scenarios and this is what we found. Anyone can edit the form but the catch seems to be that, the computer that ran the stored procedure originally, is the computer that has to run the submit. On top of that, if it is submitted from a different pc that ...

  • Auto Populate InfoPath Form by looking up an ID value in SharePoint list

I have a very large spreadsheet that I have imported into SharePoint.  Is there any way to use the data from the sharepoint list, to populate an InfoPath form?  What I would like to be able to do is create a drop-down field in InfoPath that reads from the SharePoint list.  Once a value is selected in InfoPath, the SharePoint list ...

  • Re: Persistent InfoPath error

Hi Patrick - I did run both Microsoft Office Diagnostics and the Office repair utility a few days ago but to no avail. Just for fun, I ran them both again this morning and the issue is still there; however, the diagnostic was incomplete because it was missing a file - I'll try it again once it gets downloaded. The script is written to create a ...
