  • re: Populate a Drop-Down List Box via Code

On a related note, I noticed that when you populate a drop-down list with a data connection from a SharePoint form library, the first item of the drop-down list is always empty. Is there a way, through code or other means, to make the first item display "Select..."?

  • Re: cascading dropdowns

  • Re: Infopath Form Services Error

Hi tariks and welcome to the forum! If you are using InfoPath 2007 you can use the Design Checker (located in the Tools menu) to determine the areas of your form with compatability problems. Can you give us an error message or more details on what is broken?

Hi moss2007, If you are using InfoPath 2007 you can use the Design Checker (located in the Tools menu) to determine the areas of your form with compatability problems.  Otherwise, the error message makes me think that is a permission problem.  Have you added the site that you deployed to to your Local Intranet security zone in Internet ...

  • Re: Getting SharePoint document filename

Have you downloaded the SharePoint SDK?  SharePoint offers many web services for interacting with the entities it stores.  There is a Document Workspace web service that has this method: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms772465.aspx, which looks promising.  I have not actually done this ...

Also, if you plan to use your form in the browser, make sure you are designing the form with the "Enable browser features only" option enabled.  This is shown when you first open InfoPath.

Hi Stephanie,  We have written 4 different tutorials on cascading drop-downs.  Have you seen them? http://www.infopathdev.com/search/SearchResults.aspx?q=cascading+drop+down If you are still having problems, can you give us a little bit more information about your schema and objectives?  Why do you have repeating sections of ...

  • re: Use Code to Determine a Rule Condition

I have a problem with passing parameters to the function. Apparently the parameter being passed to the function is type "system._object". I have been scratching my head with this and going no where. Here's a sample code: function getGradingPolicy(sqrFoot, TotInfraction) {    if (sqrFoot > 10)       ...
