Many thanks ! I'll have a look !  On most of the information I found  the dropdowns receive the data from an external source (xml,db,web service). Is there a way to do all in the form ? The values of the combo boxes are fixed and I don;t need to get the from a db.

Under the advanced tab under the submit option I chose "close form after submit". Form is basic and being opended form a MOSS form lib. I publised it to that lib from Infopath.   Help!

Yes it should close InfoPath. You are using the close form action in a rule or are you trying to use some other method?

Do a search here on "CAML" and you will find how to insert or update a list.
