InfoPath Dev

Hi,

I am very new to InfoPath and SharePoint. My requirement is to interact with a sharepoint list via an Infopath form.

In that, I am able to retrieve data from the sharepoint list into the infopath form using secondary data connection. I am populating a dropdownlist with one of the columns from the list. Upon selection of the different dropdownlist items, I am able to fetch the corresponding other columns of the row in the sharepoint list into textboxes in the infopath form.

But upon editing those textbox values, will I be able to update the corresponding sharepoint list items back with these newly entered values?

Do a search here on "CAML" and you will find how to insert or update a list.

Thanks a lot for the apt direction! I found out how to insert into a sharepoint list! But I am not able to update the list. Rather, I dont know how to go about it! The CAML script must obviously change right like cmd = "Update" and the likes. Can you please help me with a sample CAML update script? I am not able to decipher the attributes in the Field tag.
