I believe you do want to uncheck allow user to submit this form and then just have the rules and action on your button that call the submits you need.
It has been a while and I have not verified this but I believe that is how you can remove InfoPath's "are you sure" assumption if the data has changed. You should be able to ...

Welcome to the forum.
Sorry I have bad news. Sharepoint is built on a flat data structure in order to browse very quickly. It was not intended for relational data. You can create a seperate list but then there is no way to relate the information back to the form.

Welcome to the forum.
Probably best practice is to look at storing your form data in a database. InfoPath is not a real good reporting tool, since that is not what it was designed to do.
I have done a similar summary type view but maybe not quite as complex as yours. I have since then replaced it with a web report from the backend data as ...

This is in the Advanced submit options. Or in Form Options could be the Save and Save As is checked on depending on which message they get.

Newbie and loving it. I figured out a bunch of stuff thanks to multiple forums (date calculations, push form dates to a sharepoint calendar) and hope to learn even more here.
I have a multiple view form, but that's besides the point but just note I am talking about just one ultra-mega form. In one view is a repeating ...
