• Re: InfoPath - Calling Stored Procedure with parameters from C#

Have you looked at using a web service instead? This is best practice rather than hardcoding each InfoPath form with code. Qdabra has some installable ones to get you going immediatly or for reference. DBXL v2.2 Beta Edition

  • Re: Linking Project List to Infopath Forms

Hey Chris. This is difficult since you are really talking about a Sharepoint interface, this list of Projects. You could use InfoPath, which they would open instead of the SP list and then you could filter and link these two items, projects and related quotes. Or you could put groupings or a filter on the Quote Document Library so that you ...

  • Re: Select first node of a repeating section

Bt default is you just access the fields, from outside of the repeating section you will just get the first record. you have to specify with a filter or current() function to get subsequent records.

  • Re: Data Connection to update Sharepoint Form

Hey Darwin. Welcome to Infopath. I would create a new form and do soem playing and testing to gain familiarity before updating your production form. It is a database type form? It has a query fields and data fields in the main data source? If so I would make sure there are not multiple views and somehow it is opening with a blank ...

  • Re: Copying Forms Permission

So this is getting to be really complex. The original goal was to have unique permissions, I do not see this method gaining anything in this area since the permissions would still have to be set for every one of these hundreds of DL. And now you tell me it is a browser based form, which further complicates things. With a SQL solution you can ...

  • Re: Copying Forms Permission

Hi Clay, Actually i would want to make the submit activity to be dynamic, this is because the form has a lot of category ( over 100+), and it might increase in the future. FYI, I get the category from the custom list. And my plan is to send to document list with the name of the selected category. I think ...

  • Select first node of a repeating section

How can I do that in a browser enabled form? Normally a trivial XPath expression like "mynode[1]" or "mynode[number()=1]" or "mynode[position()=1]" does the trick - but no luck there: the former two get an "The following expression could not be parsed because of a syntax error or because it uses an ...

  • Linking Project List to Infopath Forms

I recently became fairly stumped with a problem of linking a project list project on our sharepoint server to infopath forms related to that project. The Scenario is quite simple really. We have sales guys who when they begin to work with a client will go into our sharepoint project list and create a new project for that ...
