• Re: using a large database in InfoPath Forms Services

Large dbs are an issue. Ideally you can use a web service instead that can query the records instead of loading them all. You can maybe reduce the number of fields that are being loaded.

  • Re: Design form to save data in oracle

Sql is straightforward and there are examples here and on Microsoft's site. Oracle is not possible without web services. Start with a database and crete a new form or check out qdabra's web service package.

  • Re: where to keep the access DB

Sharepoint has an issue with Access. One thing also is to make sure that the location is writable for the users who need to use it. Typically you create another file share that is accessible to everyone you need.

  • Re: changing the button background to a picture

Hi, I have changed the button background on my browser-enabled form to a picture as written here http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/greg/archive/2005/06/08/Create-a-Picture-Button.aspx And it works. But after publishing a form to SharePoint site, pictures are disappeared. Also, i have added pictures with prompts to the form in the following way - ...

  • Close event in InfoPath 2007???

I'm sorry if this is a really simple question, but I can't seem to find how to implement an onclose event for an Infopath client form. I would expect this would be fired if a user closed the form (or the infopath client)? My problem is that I want to prompt users to save if the form is dirty and they exit Infopath (eg by using ...

  • Re: How to force click "Check names" in a contact selector control

Hey, just a thought -- on all of the nodes where you are using [1] to grab the node, you are grabbing the first one.... you could try [last()] to get the last node...I'm not sure off hand if [last()] is one of those "not allowed in a browser form" functions, but may be worth a try....

My level of frustration is now beyond what is acceptable. I have changed my handler object and code to the following and still no results (that is, I can auto-populate my job_title textbox for the first row but not for subsequent rows). This in a browser-enabled form.public void InternalStartup() ...

  • Re: Deleteing from repeating group on changing event of another field

Just wondering if you got a resolution to this - I am encountering the same problem - the error message is always the default error message, no matter what I put in the as the Message or MessageDetails. Ideally, I would like to turn off this message altogether - do you know if there is a way to do this? Thanks in advance for any assistance!

  • Re: Add a field's value to a Repeating Table field programically.

Hi, Catharine: I have not been able to run code using rules that changes the main DOM of the form -- which is what you'd be doing if you called that code from a rule. I know of one series of posts on this where they worked around it by changing a hidden field's value in a rule and then putting the code in the Changed event for that field, ...

  • Re: Add a field's value to a Repeating Table field programically.

Hi, Thank you for your reply... I have altered the code and it is now working. Instead of running this code from a button I would like to be able to call it from rules as described in http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2005/06/17/430347.aspx - do you think this is feasible? You mentioned copying the from the ...
