• Re: SQL Sever 2000 views do not appear

I would check the permissions on the views. Also make sure you go through the Data Connection wizard again (modify Main) so that it reinterrogates the Database, this does not happen automatically.

  • Re: How to set the "Overwrite existing file?" checkbox is unchecked by default when "Save As" window pops up.

In the settings of the SharePoint library you can turn the overwrite on or off.

  • Re: Need help creating a form selector

You could certainly create a master InfoPath document that would act as this menu. It could connect to your document libraries and dynamically display the forms.

  • Re: Submit to SQL Database

Hi Tosh. Sorry i did not get to this sooner. You can submit to SQL without redesigning your form. Check out the web services available from qdabra.com. You are describing their typical solution architecture.

  • Re: While opening the form, the error "InfoPath cannot create a new, blank form. Unspecified error."

I would try to republish it. Another trick is to extract the source files. Then in the source files right click on the manifest and select design. This will recompile the form and should fix any corruption, etc.

  • Re: The best way to document an Infopath Form?

Hey Keith. i do not think there are any tools or kits available. What i have done is taken screen shots of rules, properties, etc while I have described the flow of the form, etc. I think the manifest would probably not work for most people, they would need to learn it via the UI. In the next version of InfoPath, it is supposed ...

  • Re: Open Outlook from InfoPath

Hey Catharine. Typically this can be really simple. Just use a mailto hyperlink. You can lookup all of the parameters for a "mailto:" but you can put subject, to, cc, body etc. This can work really well to generate an email template from a button click. Otherwise you would need to use code if you have a need which is more elaborate.

  • Re: Button Submit to Multiple Emails based on a Condition on a Rule

Thanks heaps! That seems so easy now that I think of it. I don't even need to create an XML file. I'm just going to use the SharePoint list and as the user select the field it automatically populates the email from the list and then use that as the email field in the email submit data connection. Easy!
