Hi Clay What i have learnt is that you can have two options to get your browser based form publish into sharepoint enviroment, first method is told by you here by making UDC and add those in connection libray. The second, to make them publish with full trust.

Hi, By using xml we cannot make a control Read-only. You can do it in .xsl by adding attribute xd:disableEditing="yes".

Try this.Application.XmlForms.NewFromFormTemplate this might automatically redirect to the new form, once the new form opens close your form.  Or provide a link of the new form in the UI, but this will not close the previous form. I dont think that there is a redirect function that is available in InfoPath.

Hello Paul, Can you paste the picture of what you mentioning? I really didnt get what is the exact requirement.

Is this new field in a repeating section? If it is in repeating section make sure that it is there in the manifest.xsf also.  To make sure that you are opening new version, delete the infopath cache of the form and try again.
