Thanks again. Just to get the setup clear in my head (as I keep confusing myself) if you were looking to create a front end (form base) with a back end (data store list\library etc) which is a glorified access database with forms and tables, what would the preferred method used be?
Would you create a data connection library or a ...

Ok, so I made a copy (template) to review all fields, rules etc and disable, remove one by one. As I was going through the rules, there was a rule to query when the id field changed. I believe this was done exploring possibilities to clear the fields after saving). Removed that rule and the form now saves the record with the title field and keeps ...

Use substring-before. Syntax would be like: substring-before(userName(), "i:0#.f|membership|")

Looking at another post, I can see how to put the current user who is submitting the form, however the form has the following on there:
'i:0#.f|membership|xxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxx.com'
How do I get rid of the text before the email address?
Thanks,
Jon

Hi all,
When a user lands on my SharePoint 2013 landing page in my organisation, they're landing on it as they need to fill out a InfoPath requirements form.
Part of the form has a calculated value to show the requester, (I've used the 'Modified By' field) this will be used for when the user submits the form, it will ...

I'll set up a test list & form later today to see if I can figure out the right steps for this. :)
