  • Re: preview view and printed form look different

That was the solution I came up with as well.  I was hoping that I didn't have to add non-breaking spaces to make things line up correctly in the print view.  I guess that's why they created a print view. Similar to how web pages have print-friendly pages.

Hi....I have been reading through post here to try and find a solution to my problem I am having. First let me explain what I am trying to do. I have created a basic form connecting to a data source so I can submit data to it. It is a MS Access DB. When I click the "Submit New Request" button I want it to populate the DB and send and ...

  • Re: After WorkFlow Form opens only as XML not in browser

It is important to know if you are modifying the InfoPath form xml inside the Wrokflow and how. Make sure that the InfoPath xml file still contains the InfoPath instruction tags:  <?mso-infoPathSolution .....  <?mso-application progid="InfoPath.Document" ....   Most likely you will loose this if you are ...

  • Re: preview view and printed form look different

I had this same problem but I figured out to do the following to get past it.  Use the "Create Print Version for this View" option in the View Tab. In the Views task pane, double-click the print view you just made to bring up the View Poperties box. Select the options that you want on the Print Settings and Page Setup tabs, ...

  • Inserting into IDENTITY columns via stored procedure causes IDENTITY to increment at least twice

More of an FYI, but it's an interesting idiosyncrasy.  If you have a data connection that inserts records into a SQL table using a stored procedure, and that table uses a field with an IDENTITY (i.e. one that auto-increments), then you might notice that the table skips IDENTITY values (e.g. 1, 3, 5, 6,7, 9 etc.).  After looking at ...

  • preview view and printed form look different

Whenever I preview my form it looks dandy, though when I print the form the text doesn't line up with controls.  Do I need to use more layout boxes or is there some other kind of issue?  I did a workaround by adding spaces till the print version looked okay but left the electronic version looking messy.  I know I can do a ...

  • Re: Curious...

I have one that is just under 4 mb with 4 data connections. However mine has a bunch of user views and also contains a bunch of images. It runs fine as a web enabled form for 90% of my users. Some users in remote areas with slow connections experience a delay in loading the form and some of the views take up to 30 seconds to load. I ...

  • Parameters in Browser Mode

Hi, I have a Form library in Sharepoint 2007, where i want to store some InfoPath documents. My InfoPath form manages some parameters (that i read during the form load event).  To pass those parameters, I go in my Form Library, then click on "Edit Properties" of my InfoPath form.  Then I modify the ...

  • EnumDB vs. QueryDB

Qdabra’s Database Enumeration Web Service was introduced on the first version of Qdabra’s Database  Accelerator (DBXL). Up until DBXL v2.1, it was being used by business organizations for their solutions to retrieve data from SQL database tables. Filtering and sorting could also be implemented with the use of additional code. On the ...

  • Error caused by too much date

I have an InfoPath form on sharepoint that is reading a list of addresses.  I have it set to autofill the address based on the site code.  The problem is I just got the list of sites and it is 33,000 sites.  This means the browser based form times out trying to load the data source.  The rest of the form still works fine even ...
