Good morning,
I just love when quirky things happen. I have an InfoPath filler form that uses AD global groups to determine user roles. I have two long-term users who, as of yesterday, are now randomly being put into the incorrect role when opening their forms i.e. for at least a year, the form has read ...

Ok, got it working for the Start Date Field, when I display the values in XML, then I see the difference, I am using the substring function to look at the places I need it to look at. I am able to disable the submit check box, but I am also trying to get it to display a message, stuck on the logic for that part, but should be able to figure out ...

The link is usually different for a browser form. Go to the library and open the new form from there - copy that URL and use it in your hyperlink. :)

Thanks again

I'm confused, I'm sorry - List forms are browser forms by default. Are you instead talking about Filler forms? If these are list forms - they should still open up in the browser. If they are regular InfoPath forms published to a library, meant to be opened in Filler, your users will have to have InfoPath installed.

Hi Hilary, the data did return the first record.
I then dragged the whole data source into a single view (data fields). This returned the required fields from the database in a repeating table. So how do I just return one row from the repeating table based on a unique name?

People pickers are a pain. The default for your NameChange field will only have the 1st instance unless you use a double eval to set it. Is NameChange inside group2? It needs to be. And make sure the People Picker doesn't allow multiple selections - you want a new instance of group2 for each row. Does that make sense?
