Hi Wil and welcome to InfoPathDev forums,
Vexing! My guess is that the Web Service takes a parameter and in the data connection you haven't specified what to map BusinessEntityID to and therefore it's nil and fails. Just a guess though, but take a look at the data connection config window and verify that you set up the parameters to map ...

You'll have to redo your main data source for your form. You'll want to start from an XML schema to allow future schema changes and not be bound to the receive schema from the Web Service (that's what limited the insertion for your current forum since InfoPath derives a read-only schema when you create from a DB - to preserve the ...

My repeating table won't allow users to insert or delete rows. It's connected to a table in my sql db. I'm in the process of setting up a web service to write the InfoPath data to the SQL server since the form is set up to be web compatible.

If you save your template as IP 2003, do you have errors? What is incompatible?

Well, and that is part of the problem with the 'New Record' button -- can't add any other actions to it. But, in general, you can add either a field to your main data source or add a secondary data connection to an XML file and then set a value in that field that you can base your conditional formatting on -- for example, set a field ...

So you are using IP 2007 and your users have IP 2003?[/quote]
