So what you are saying is that you want the browser form to NOT tab to the icon, right?  Either way, it is difficult to compare browser form behavior to native form behavior as they are two different beasts. Setting the value of a date field in a repeating table equal to the field in the main data source in code using InfoPath 2003.

Did you change the settings in FORM OPTIONS/COMPATIBILITY to "Design a form template that can be opened in browser or InfoPath" and add the URL?

Are you in the Manager view in design mode when you preview? IP seems to always open to the view you are designing when previewing....not the default view, as might be expected.

The error went away once I configured the SUBMIT options.  So now, my form says "successfully submitted" but data doesn't show up in my form library (even though I promoted the fields).  ??

Quirky view issue

I have a form with 2 views - Manager view and Sales Rep view.  I designed the Manager view first.  I set the default view to be the Sales Rep view.  No user roles have been assigned.  Whenever I preview the form, it always opens in Manager view.  Why is this happening?

userName() only pulls First Name

I have a web enabled form I am working on and need to pull the user name of the person so that I can programatically setup rolls with an xml file.  Currently the userName() only pulls the first name, which works, but we really need to pull both the first name and last name.  Any ideas?
