I had time to set up a simple sample for you this morning. Save the linked file locally, then right click and select design, preview and select a regulation from the dropdown. In design mode, go to the Data tab in the ribbon and you'll see a button for resource files - you can export the XML from there to see what it looks like....
-
Probably. You could download the XML file and manually clean it up. Basically, I think using an XML file as a secondary data source could help you with what you want to do - you could display text based on what the user has selected.

So - it looks like this data is available in XML format here: https://www.govinfo.gov/bulkdata/ECFR, but the XML file is HUGE. I'm not sure what performance would be like with this in the form....

Oh, I'd probably do this in the form. Add a field called Status or something, and use submit rules to set it to Submitted, then add a read-only view of the form, and then in the form load rules, if Status = Submitted, switch to the read only view.

The UDCX looks right.
The logs are saying: Cannot find site lookup info for request Uri
Then: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it
So - I guess I'd verify that URL for the GetUserInfo service is accessible ...

Perfect, glad you figured it out. Thanks for posting to help others. :-)

You need to query for all the data for the location. Then, in the form, use logic, like rules, to determine whether there is any entry in the returned data that matches or overlaps the date range in the form. If you use a REST query for your list data, you would be able to query for a range, but a built-in InfoPath List data connection will only ...

I'm seeing errors for RiskAssessmentsRole and RiskAssessmentCountries. Search for GetMetadataForUrl in the attached log file and you'll see that the form is trying to access a relative URL like: /SAD/SAD/Lists/RiskAssessmentCountries. To me, it looks like the Site portion of the URL is duplicated. I'm guessing you don't have a site ...

You mention querying the name, then start date, then end date - can you tell me more about this? Query fields for SharePoint lists only are for equivalence, so that could be part of the issue here. You can set the Name query field and run the query, that way all the data returned is just for the specific location. Then you should be able to date ...

Any chance I could see a copy of your form? You can attach it under the Options tab in a reply. In general: SharePoint data includes time - you may want to make sure you can see the raw data somewhere on your form while you are working on this so that you can see what you are comparing. Drag the repeating data fields from your secondary data ...
