Ok, so no one has posted any help on this yet, and I have had it on the back burner due to some other projects. I have made some progress, however. What i have done is created a stored procedure to produce the sql query with the infromation that I need. The only thing left would be to figure out the XPathNodeIterator in ...

Perfect! Exactly what i was looking for. I did make one modification, and that was that I closed the existing form, not asking to save changes before opening the new form. That way they don't end up with hundreds (in theory) of forms open, but only one at all times, either the one they are working on, or the new one they are ...

I can post data to the database through an InfoPath form using a simple, 'Insert' SQL statement. I am not publishing this to SharePoint at this moment so I am not concerned with that aspect of ...

Actually, I just tested this on a form with a field of data type Date, and it worked as expected. What happens when you try? Can you post your template?

I thought as much. Unfortunately, you will be unable to write code that accesses the SharePoint API unless you are on a SharePoint server.
The Url property of the SPSite constructor must refer to a site that is in the Server Farm that the code is running on. It cannot be used to connect to a remote farm. To do that, use web ...

Does your data table have something you can use to filter on? If not, the only way I can see to do this is create multiple controls, each with the correct filter (RowID = 1 or RowID = 2 etc) and show/hide the drop down controls based on user role. If you can add a view to the SQL database, you could create a view that includes the user role for ...
