I guess I would need to look at the form. What you're describing shouldn't be happening, unless somehow the form is set up to submit twice, first submit creates the xml, second submit fails because the filename already exists. Want to attach the form? You can do so via the Options tab. Thanks!

I don't think you can do both: (a) limit the user to only enter two digits (whole number) and then (b) store the same value as a decimal in the same field. InfoPath uses two different data types for each.
You could have a text box where the user enters two digits (20) and a second node in the schema where you convert that (to .20) for ...

Can you reproduce the issue, or is it limited to one (or a few users)?
If limited to a user, then you probably still have a permissions issue. I guess it's possible that the submit could be failing silently (without an error message).
I would first test with other users to try and narrow down the issue. If no one at all can submit, then it ...

Could you put MyExternalListDateField[. = UID] on a calculated value to see if the filter is returning the value you expect it to return?
Maybe there's something to fix in the filter?

If you have a required field in the child group, you can use a conditional SQL mapping. So, for example, if you have a my:Price under the repeating child group, you would set this up (manually, in DAT):
my:RepeatingChildGroup[my:price != ""]
I think this is covered in the DBXL training with some examples, but if you can't find it ...

Can you compare the design of the new and the original tables? I'm guessing that the original table had a primary autoincrement key, and thus the SQL mapping was saved without a key defined in DAT.
Let us know what you find. Thanks.

I don't believe you need code to achieve this. I'm attaching a sample form that you can download, open in design mode (to look at the rules) and preview. Hopefully this helps. Good luck!

You have to modify each textbox's properties one by one. I don't know of a way to modify them in bulk.

I assume you're talking about browser forms, which cannot display dialog boxes.
We typically see something similar to what you've described: create a schema node called "Message". Display that as a Calculated Value in the form. Then, via rules, you can change the value of Message. You can also control whether the Message is ...

Hi,
Instead of using a double eval, could you use the DelimitedList qRules command?
Check out the User Guide to see if this command will help address the issue, and let us know if you have questions. Thanks!
