Last » Read InfoPath'07 XML using MSXML2 & VBA How do I read and parse (select single node....) the Infopath'07 XML (data only) files using MSXML2 and VBA? I seem to be able to navigate and load the XML from SharePoint form lib but get a load error "only one top level element is allowed in an XML document." Is it a valid XML file? The elements with no data are like: ... My condition on the list that changes is DoorChanged is not equal to not(.) and DoorChanged is not blank Set DoorUpgradeDate = Today() or Now() to better see the date changing when you change the dropdown list of door types ie. If you change to Now(), don't forget to change DoorUpadeDate to ... Thanks Posted to Jimmy Rishe (Weblog) by tfiema on 05-08-2009 Re: Inserting a Date into a text box when a user changes data in a control and saves the form to SharePoint again Hillary you are great! I'll try this and get back with you. One more question. What if my doors are repeating and a user can insert multiple doors. Do I place the DoorChangeDate as a repeating field to capture each door change. Say if I had 4 doors and 3 was changed on different days. Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by Michael71 on 05-08-2009 Re: How to indicate a file has been attached using the Attach File control It worked- thanks! Also one mopre question. Are there hard size limits (or recommended limits) for files attached to forms using this control? Will the attachments affect the overall form library size limit? Posted to Controls (Forum) by NancyCentury on 05-08-2009 Re: How to indicate a file has been attached using the Attach File control I will make sure I am setting it on the right field- thanks! Posted to Controls (Forum) by NancyCentury on 05-08-2009 Re: Skip Validation On Submit For Hidden Fields Hello: First, if you don't already know this, do not check the "Cannot be Blank" button in the Properties dialog. Instead, manually set validation rules and conditions that determine whether a control/field can or cannot be blank. Second, even if a control is not visible (hidden), it still is "present" on the form ... Posted to General (Forum) by ncgordon on 05-08-2009 Re: How to indicate a file has been attached using the Attach File control Actually, checking for blank/not blank should do the trick (I just tried it). The rule should be specified on the file attachment's field, not on the field you're trying to set. Could that possibly be where you're going wrong? Also, please make sure that a formula for the default value of your yes/no field isn't ... Posted to Controls (Forum) by Jimmy on 05-08-2009 Re: Inserting a Date into a text box when a user changes data in a control and saves the form to SharePoint again Hello: You need to set the rule on the field that is going to change. Given your example, you'd add the rule to the field that is bound to the Doors dropdown list. The rule would have an action to set a field's value. The field would be the DoorChangeDate field. Select the fx button next to the area where you can enter the value, and ... Posted to SharePoint Integration (Forum) by Hilary Stoupa on 05-08-2009 How to indicate a file has been attached using the Attach File control My InfoPath form publishes to a Form Library in SharePoint and contains an "attach file" control. If a user attaches a file, I want the form library to display yes or no as a text value that can be promoted to the form library so that users will be able to see if one of the submitted forms includes an attached file or not.
