• Re: File attachment control won't promote

Thanks Hilary, it appears that you are correct, that file attachment option is (according to the below link) enabled for a custom web service not SP. All it basically does is send the attachment to a seperate document library and store the link to the attachment in the column that the other information from the form was sent ...

  • Re: File attachment control won't promote

The file attachment control is supported in a browser form, but the base 64 data type (which is what the control stores) can't be promoted up to your SharePoint site. The documentation is simply talking about the control itself, and you are right, it wouldn't be in your tool box if you couldn't use it. But the error message you are ...

  • Re: Drop down list value to SQL

You got the point exactly. Thanks for the reply. This is the answer also, I did not realize until much later that what I see and what is stored are not the same - makes sense now since each View gives new text / display name for each value and of course that would only work if the stored item is the code / value. Now I also ...

  • Comparing Values

Alright, so I've got a repeating table with a bunch of values in it, and I am judging to see if one value is between two boundary values. Most of the time this works, but whenever I am comparing the boundary values have their greatest value in a different place (tens, hundreths) the comparison fails regardless of when the entry value ...

  • Re: Drop down list value to SQL

Hi, and welcome! Forgive me, I'm confused. You have a drop down list bound to a field in your main data source, and the list is populated with values from a secondary data source, is that correct? The control is set to use the 'key' {1,2,3 in your sample data} as the value for the control, and the 'name' {Chicago, Paris, Sao ...
