Usually, this would be because the filter you are using on the list doesn't contain current() - what is the filter you are using?

What is the secondary data connection to? A SharePoint list?

The date separator is a "-", not a "/". Yes, that is what I'm suggesting you change is the date pattern, if the field is a date type. :)

Looks like an issue in the content of a rich text control maybe? Can you copy out the info in the rich text field and maybe paste it into a text editor window and then copy/paste it back in ?

Hi - I don't know of any bugs around userName() in particular. Your expression looks correct - I don't see anything obvious there. Does it fail regardless of which condition is last? That is, can you remove the one for my:SSM and it works?

What version of InfoPath are you using? Browser or filler form?

But the thing is - your custom pattern is not going to be comparing to the way the date is formatted, but to the actual value of the date field, which will be yyyy-MM-dd.

We sell an ActiveX control for this that works in Filler forms: http://www.qdabra.com/webstore/p/68/qdabra-drag-and-drop-file-attachment-control

The XML date format is:
yyyy-MM-dd
So, that is what your date picker is storing. You can change the format on the field that displays the date, if the field is a date data type. The data will be stored as 2013-01-12, but you can set the control to display 1/12/2013 - does that make sense? You can either look at a saved XML file in a text editor ...

I've not yet figured out a pattern - it is annoying, and I don't usually even bother with recreating the calc'd value, I go straight to the view xsl and delete the bindings, as unpleasant as it is.
