Hi Jerry,
Is Microsoft singling out the qRules DLL, or any form with code?
I think this would be a good question for them. If they are not going to provide any support for forms that contain code, then that would include qRules.
But I can't imagine that Microsoft would single out qRules, specifically, and not other forms with code.

Writing code or writing a web service is always a possibility if you'd like to pursue that.
A free qRules trial is available at Qdabra.com.

Hola,

It sounds like you'll have a SharePoint form library - the form pulls in the necessary list items, users add data, and then the form maps back to SharePoint lists and also submits to a form library.
You could try qRules to create the SharePoint list mappings. I don't think this can be accomplished via InfoPath's out of the box ...

Do you need those individual list items? (3700+ per year)
Usually people store SharePoint list items for reporting purposes. If that's the case here, then you could use DBXL and store those 3700+ yearly records in SQL. You can use the QueryDB web service to query items and filter server-side. You would be storing the data in SQL which allows ...

I believe the problem is that full trust forms need to be installed. When a computer has two versions of InfoPath, it seems like this issue happens. We've seen it with computer that have both IP2007 and IP2010 installed, and your results seem to suggest the same problem when IP2010 and IP2013 are both installed on the same machine.
I believe ...

I see that the node path for the table is
/my:funding/my:qdxtp_historicalFunding/my:Content/my:historicalFunding
In that case, the manual modification would be
/my:funding/my:qdxtp_historicalFunding/my:Content/my:historicalFunding[my:amount != ""]
Can you try that?

You could drag the entire secondary data source to the canvas, and then take a look in the browser. Basically, you want to see whether the data connection is returning data correctly in the browser. If it is, then seeing that data will allow you to visually confirm whether the filtering values are correct.
You can add attachments or ...

Hi,
This message is being returned by SharePoint's IPFS, not by the InfoPath form itself. I don't think you can modify these since they are built in to SharePoint.

Hi-
In order for InfoPath to open an form (XML) is needs a form template (XSN). It sounds like you're emailing the XML but the user's dont have the XSN, is that correct?
Would this blog post help in your scenario?
