I got it working. Thanks for your help.

Yes, I think you are. What do you mean when you say you published the InfoPath form but it is checked out to you? When you publish your template, it does not go into the library itself. It goes into the hidden Forms folder (for back-end use only) and replaces the built-in template.xsn file that is there by default when you create ...

Yea that's the case, just wasn't familiar with the previous-sibling subpath, or XPaths in general. Do you have to use the whole XPath location of the node with preceding-sibling? Or just its immediate group?

The my:group2 part is not generic, but in almost all cases, there is only one repeating node in a given repeating section. Is that not the case in your form?

So it is. Found info here: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/greg/archive/2005/06/13/Using-XPath_2700_s-_2700_preceding_2D00_sibling_2700_-Axis-Correctly.aspx
Thanks for yalls help.

Hi, I published infopath form on sharepoint site and it is checked out to my name. I asked my colleague to open the form as it should open read-only. Unfortunately, she is not able to see the form itself. I checked her permissions and she has permissions as Full Contribute. Am I missing something here?
Thanks

Oh wow, now I think I understand. So you aren't using _any_ of InfoPath's abilities other than a simple way to fill out a form, right? You are just opening the template (XSN) locally, filling it out, then saving it as a data file locally (XML). You are then right-clicking on the file and choosing Send To > Mail ...

i have the template currently on my computer not on our server for other people to use until i get the little things worked out. the form has several drop down boxes with selected name associated with each box. there are several text fields. to send i have been clicking the send to mail recipients. find the mailing list within ...

That's getting a bit picky now. =P I'm not sure how to do that without code. I worked through some other ideas, but I can't figure it out. Is there a reason why you prefer a dropdown list that must be looked at multiple times instead of a multi-select control?
