• Re: HELP with Design View for IP2003- 2007

I've tried that....I click File > Publish - then chose where to publish......."To a SharePoint form Library", then choose "Modify an existing form library" - because I want to overwrite an existing form. I put the site name http://...... right up to the point of /InfoPath_Forms/Forms/Allitems.aspx.....and it ...

When you publish, it only asks for the name of the sharepoint site itself, so if you sharepoint site is http://samiam.sandy.com/sites/coolsite/infopathlibrary/forms/allitems.aspx, then you just use http://samiam.sandy.com/sites/coolsite. After it connects to the site, it will ask you if you want to publish to a doc lib or site content ...

Thank you so much! I revised the saved form on my desktop, but can't seem to get it publish to sharepoint. I reviewed the InfoPath Forms library and put in the url, but it tells me that no library exists. I've checked the path about 10 times on our sharepoint site, but am not sure what I'm doing wrong now. ...

• re: Microsoft announces special technical preview of InfoPath 2010 !!!

Here is the InfoPath Team blog response: "Thanks for flagging this issue to us. We're following up with the Microsoft Connect administrators to correct the problem with the form. As for the second comment, the Technical Beta program noted above is a limited availability program that includes both client and server." I had no ...

• Re: Secondary data connection on web browser form

Ah, in the case of needing a specific row in a repeating table, I don't think there is any easy way to do it without a custom solution. I build all my forms without code as I am not a dev, so anything in SYM Wong-A-Ton's realm would probably require her help or help from one of the Qdabra devs here.

In the GUI, data connections are defined as full URLs, so you can't do relative paths without doing it programmatically (as far as I know).

• Re: Secondary data connection on web browser form

Dang it I think I already have a flaw in the solution (at least for my scenario) The data I am after in Form A is a few child nodes in and I need to filter it for a row (example where ID=5). ----------------------- A solution path I was headed down was to use a SharePoint web service call "GetItem" in the COPY web ...

• Re: Copy/Clone data from DBXL Secondary Data Connection to InfoPath 2003 Repeating table in Main Data in JS

The field should exsist in the secondary data source -- it will just have a blank value. You should remove this line: newTestDetails.selectSingleNode("my:field11").text = node.selectSingleNode("Diameter").text; as you are setting that after you check for and remove the nil attribute. However, to test to see if a node is ...
• Re: HELP with Design View for IP2003- 2007

I am able to open it in design mode on the first try with no workarounds. Are you sure you're right-clicking on the file and selecting "design" instead of just double-clicking the template? If you double-click the template file (.XSN), then it opens in the client mode.

• Re: Secondary data connection on web browser form

@warrtalon GENIUS IDEA - seriously! That would solve the issue and yes Form A is a infopath form. Do you happen to know if you can save that secondary data source path as a relative path. The reason I ask is I have multiple instances of Form A which contain different data - but there is only one per folder. So Form ...
