Very cool. If InfoPath has this OOB that rocks! Unfortunately I tried the link you gave me but it didn't work. Would you mind sending the whole url?
Thanks!

You won't need to do research, and you definitely wont need to use JS for web services. You can use web services out of the box with InfoPath, and this is a web service provided directly by MOSS. Use the link I gave above - it explains it in perfect detail, so no research should be required.

Sorry for not being clear. What I mean is that I cannot create custom webparts via C# code. I have access to SharePoint Designer and I imagine I can use webservices via JavaScript. So the answer to your question is yes, I can access server resources.
Your advice makes perfect. I will have to do some research ...

Ra, can you clarify this? Any IP fields that you promote are then visible to SPD via the library itself. However, those fields can only ...

I don't have access to the server so whatever I do needs to be client side. Is this possible to accomplish with InfoPath? The ...

I have two tabs acting as templates.
1. One app with mulitple servers
2. One server with mulitple apps
So if customer wants to request for 5 apps and each app has 2-3 servers each, they would copy the #1 tab 5 ...

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, the filename in question needs to be hyperlinkable by Sharepoint BDC actions (so that I can click on a BDC action and it takes me to the IPFS for that particular XML). In addition, IP promoted fields do not show up in Sharepoint Designer's workflow designer as fields that I can ...
