HELLo, I am using InfoPath to create a repeating table for updating values in a table called Rating in a DataBase. Now, myproblem is that I need to populate the RatingUIDs from the DataBase to the form and then let the user update the RatingValues column. I wrote this code with fixed values (AA & BB) and it works, but I need to get the ...

Looks like you're almost there. In step 2, you need to set the rule on the field itself, not the attribute, and the rule should be setting the value of the attribute (which you appear to already be doing).
If you fix that, you should be all set.

Hi,
I ve designed a form in infopath 2007 and also write few chunks of VB.net code. Now when I go to Tools -> Form Options - > Programming, it shows me this message:

Hello!
I just started working with IP 2007 and have been able to do most of the things I want without custom code.
Now I want to copy data from repeating table that gets populated by data from data source(connection to AD) to another repeating table.

I have an InfoPath application written in IP 2003, with the main data source from an SQL database. The form contains some code in VBScript, and to date there are about 800 completed forms in my form library. I would like to upgrade my form and implement some better practices at the same time. Here's what I would like to do...

One specific example. I have database form (I don't know if that make a difference to the behaviour). If you bind it to a sqlserver bit field it automatically interprets is as boolean as it should. The default values are true/false (pretty logical) and with an additional select option.
Usually I want the display value to be Yes/No rather than ...

I copy controls all the time in order to keep the settings. What do you mean when you say "it loses properties and rules along the way"? I even copy controls and change the binding to a new field just to not have to re-do all the settings. The things that don't carry over are the things that are specific to the ...

I have noticed a few annoying things with infopath.
Say I want to copy a control as all the properties and rules and conditional formatting in it are the same. Although it lets me copy it it loses the properties and rules along the way. What I would like to be able to do is just copy then change one aspect, such as what field it is bound to. or ...

Thanks! That seems to have worked. And as I was researching more, it seems an undo button would be hard to create, again, because of me not knowing how to programatically get to the data sources...
Something about an xPathNavigator or something... I can't say I'm the least bit familiar with it... I may have a couple more questions kind ...
