I checked with our DBA and he said that we do have SSIS installed. He said that he would check into setting up a connection. If all of this works, would my next step be to create a data connection library in SharePoint then create a data connection from InfoPath?

Hi InfoPathIC
Not sure I understand the scenario completely. You have an InfoPath form that you are using to edit/select a contact right? But, there are cases where you want to launch a new form and have it refer to previous contact but allow choosing a new one. Is that correct? Hi Ben,
Thanks for the link. This is a new hot topic. Here's another link alluding to it: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointinfopath/thread/403e6f25-ff23-472c-b414-c17866607181

Overall, not hard; ...

Hi Matt,
I have sent you an invite for a troubleshooting call, in case Jim's suggestion, above, does not work.
Thanks.

Thank you for the advice. I was hoping for a different solution because when a designer goes to modify the form, they will have to do about 2x as much design work (since they must alter both the default and print views).
