I have tried attaching it to both AccountId and Field1 (a text field).
All of the rules I have made are behaving strangely when I have been testing them. For instance, I want Field1 to equal 0 if AccountId is blank. I boot up the form, Field1 is not equal to 0. So I infer that AccountId is not blank even though its ...

To what field is the rule attached? Or is it on a button?

Thanks Jimmy for the response. I have tried using rules but the value of AccountId won't store. For example, I have tried:
When AccountId is not blank
Then Set Field1 = AccountId
as well as tests using contains etc. but it won't store AccountId in Field1 for some reason.

What you describe would be fairly difficult to do as described. If you want a portion of the form that cannot be changed, why not put the text you want in a layout table and let the repeating section handle the stuff that can be changed?
-
I want to create a repeatable table where the first five rows have text that cannot be changed and then the user can add rows.
The first five rows will be standard assumptions (I'm creating a change order form) and then the user can add assumptions specific to the form.
Thanks,
Amy

Basically, I made the date picker contol just the size of the calendar. Then I added an expression box under it that, once the date is picked, will display ...

Hi all-
I am using two forms. I would like to use data from a text box I have on form #1 and use that same data in a text box on form #2.
Currently, (on form #1) the user enters their name in a text box. I have a button that uses rules that queries an Access database for that name and if the name is valid, it then opens form ...

Thanks for this posting,
But the only way I got it to work is following this syntax
.{min,max}
or
.{min,max}$
where
min = min number of characters
max= max number of characters,
Good coding everybody.

What I see happening in my environment is that when using the data connection "submit to sharepoint" there are random cases where SP see the document still being open on the submitters station. Therefore, the next approvers in the workflow can't edit the form because they get a ReadOnly message. To verify this I ...
