IsUserMemberOfGroup checks the membership of the list to see if it contains the user. It does not actually get a list of groups the user is in. But we can add this as a feature request for a future version.

Well, you could add the condition "When Field1 is blank" to prevent it from being overwritten once it is set. For anything more complicated, you'll need to figure out some sort of form logic, involving buttons, etc., but it doesn't sound like you will need to use code.

Alright, I just published the form and discovered that the field changes in the browser, but not when I preview it with the client. Wierd stuff...
Still, it has not solved my problem. It is merely referencing AccountId. So when AccountId changes, so does the field. This is not always what I want. I want to save the ...

Ah, I interpreted 'text cannot be changed' to mean the fields in the repeating table couldn't be changed. I didn't consider the ability to remove rows. Good point!

That will give you several rows with read-only values, but the rows can still be removed :-). But perhaps that's good enough?

Actually, unless I've misunderstood, this sample form should do it. Right click the link in the reply header and select 'save as' to save locally. Right click the saved copy and select design to open in design mode, then preview to try.

I am not sure exactly how this can be done using rules, but it can be done using code in the "form #1" template: JScript example:

var objNewForm = ...

Hello All!
I have a text box where I would like to display time using the now() function. I have changed the Data type to Time and formated to 9:46:55 AM but its still showing the time as 2009-08-07T09:53:17. How do I remove the date while keeping the time? I have tried every time format available but it still shows as date and time. Thanks!

Rules only fire when their related field's value changes. If you've just "booted up the form," AccountId's value will not have undergone any change and Field1's value will be whatever its default value is.
