I'm doing a check to see if the current user is in the drop-down (from secondary data source) and switch to a different view if he is. So, instead of doing conditional formatting I'm adding a rule in the form options.
I followed the steps that you provided but it didn't work for me.

Hi Matt,
I think this is where i am going wrong. In your blog you only mention copying one GUID into the text box for ListName which i did and i end up getting this No List error. Can you confirm whether i need to add a GUID for each column and if so where do i need to do this?

I don't have a Sharepoint Administrator here to install the template so I'll worry about it tomorrow.
Do you know of any alternative methods to achieve the same ends? i.e. copying data to the main from a secondary source?

Can an asp.net web application replace Infopath form in MOSS? Say if we do not have enterprise license and we want some forms to be filled by users and assign a workflow to it. How can this be done if infopath form services is not available?
