Hi Daniel, welcome to the forum.
Do you see any warnings or errors in the design checker?
So this is a database type form which you converted the main data connection to a UDC or are you using a SQL query in code or something?
You probably need to use web services. I could show you how to use Web Services which work with ...

Do they pick the states in a batch or do they pick one, add some additional information and then pick another?
Essentially you find the one or ones which have been selected by the selected value. So you use a filter on the list.
When selecting the state use the filter button in the lower left and then add a selected=true.
That way it will ...

I meant for you to search on current().
Here is one post I saw. http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/6759/25056.aspx#25056

Hey B.
If it does not have code then you should be able to publish it without admin assistance.
The Design Checker will tell you whether it will require admin approval.
Obviously you need IPFS and other requirements enabled for browser based forms but you should not need admin rights.

Will you allow more than one state choice at a time? A drop down would probably be simpler for the user in that case.
If only one then you put a rule on the check box that loads the state name with the filter selected = true ...

HI and welcome to the forum.
Data Connections are verified on form open, even if they are not being queried so i think it is difficult to remove this other than coding it completly which would add more complexity and hassle to the form.
Have you thought about putting the DB in a network folder, probably already is, but then set it up as a ...

Is it a repeating field? Sharepoint does not have the ability to display relational or repeating data and often we use a Database instead.
Checkboxes should have a value for both checked and unchecked but this often needs to be set in the controls if it is not a boolean (true / false) field. Once this value is set in your main data source you ...

I think you would want to set it to Null rather than a space or blank string.

Tyically a full trust form has to be installed. I think I have seen a way to do a quasi-network install but ussually your .dll would get bundled with the install and placed on the user's machine during the install routine.
