Guys what are you talking about? The form is able to calculate holydays. Holydays are represented in secondary datasource and because of that, solution can be easely customized to get data either from external xml file or from webservice.

You should use a relative XPath, like:
junk = oNode.selectSingleNode("@EmergFirstName").text

I'm still not sure exactly what the problem is. Are you saying you don't have access to the Species ID when you find a weight/length ratio that violates the constraint?
If so, you should be able to get at the current id within that while loop with something like: myNode.SelectSingleNode("../../my:Species_ID", ...
