I don't have any experience with info path and this is my first project involved in InfoPath. Any help would be really appreciated!
In my InfoPath form, there is a list box, I'd like to populate this list box by using stored procedure but it did not work for me. Below is what I have but threw error ...

Hi there,
I need a web form solution that will allow a user to open a dialog box, browse to a file and select it.
Then it will populate a text field with the full path and file name (for visual reference mainly).

I did what you recommended before. The error message tells me the form contains validation errors that are not in the current view. It also states any error is marked with a red asterik or red dash box. No asteriks or dashed boxes are visible on the completed form and the field or group listed ...

Sadly, Microsoft did not anticipate this need and there is no way to capture such clicks to perform anything when they happen. I’m not sure whether this has been addressed in Office 2010, but I suspect it has not.

I don't think Microsoft provided an easy way to do this using InfoPath directly. Since UDCXs provide similar ability to query backend data, they probably made querying BDC data from InfoPath a low priority scenario.
You can add BDC columns to custom lists (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms548808.aspx), which could be used ...
