Hi Krishna,
I agreed to what warrtalon is saying. You need keep two field one in which ur Initiatrot name will be there. And second for current user value. Now you compare the value of both the filed. If Initaitor field value is equal to current user value switch to employee view. If value differs switch to Admin Value.

Sorry, that's not it either. Everyone has installed the PIAs. And the eight-step solution you propose won't work because two of the users don't even have an InfoPath option under Add/Remove Programs (despite the fact that InfoPath is installed on their machine and they can successfully open SharePoint forms).

I highly doubt an organization still stuck on Office 2003 is going to jump right into Office 2010, especially when their users have never seen a ribbon, but if they DID do that, it would be awesome.

To explain why the form gets named that instead of your template's file name, it's because the template is an XSN, ...

Yes, I do have that in place already. But it was a request to have the Caption on the title bar state Server Request instead of Form1.

If you can get ahold of InfoPath 2010 CTP, then you can copy and paste your rules to each control with ease.

i would suggest to wait for 2010, it is expected to be out in first half of 2010,
so it would be better to skip 2007 and directly jump to 2010.

It's not a bug in InfoPath and shouldn't be happening (or not happening). I use a custom submit button in every form I make, and it always keeps track of modified and modified by. I would check your setup and make sure it's behaving as it seems.
It should definitely update those fields ANY TIME the form is updated in the ...
