I'm still very new to infopath and not really a programmer. Here is what I'm trying to do:
I have a text box that a Request Number is entered
Then I have a rule to query a secondary data connection SQL database
Then set the value of various other fields based of the returned values from the query using a filter. Filtering off the user ...

Got this SharePoint Library Submit data connection on this Form. On the Form there's a "Submit" button associated with all that. I want to get a handle to that button programmatically so I can disable and or enable the button under various conditions.
Can I do that? I mean get a handle to the button. I've ...

I posted something similar in the Newbie forum, but have not gotton a complete response, so I thought I would try here.
I have 4 views. I need to print the default view as Legal sized and the remaining 3 as Letter size.
I was wondering if this is possible and without setting a printer in the Page Setup?

So, would you say that the example in this thread would be inaccurate for what we are trying to do with a SharePoint list?
Sorry I'm not really following what you are describing.

(for the sake of those who follow this conversation at a later date)
manage data connections -> Add -> Create/Receive -> SharePoint -> (provide server) -> (provide list) -> checkbox is here, below where you select the fields/columns.

Once again, thank you for all the helps.
I don't know if this is the best way, but it seems to work for me. Please feel free let me know if you have any better advice.
Here is my code:public void btnSend_Clicked(object sender, ClickedEventArgs e)
{
// Write your code here.string valueField1 = null;
string valueField2 = ...

Ok, I found it. I've never used that. What I see is that the setting does work, because if you drag the repeating group from that data connection to the canvas and let it create a repeating table, then when you open a form it only shows the data ...

That solved it. I agree, much easier than workflow manipulation. Truly appreciate your help.
sorry... "to the new SharePoint column for only that form data" -> "Include Data for the active form only" checkbox. guess i should've been more precise with that.
anyhow, i'm ...

If you want your workflow to be able to manipulate the field, then simply check the box during publishing that says "allow this field to be edited in SharePoint." That's what I do whenever I need my workflow to be able to edit a field in the form. It actually edits the field in SharePoint, which then syncs with the form ...

Hello again Hilary,
Thank you very much that works!
However, I've decided to make some changes. Instead of just email to the one that's being checked.
I've added another checkbox whish will email to another person, & now it's not working on both.
Here is my codepublic void btnSend_Clicked(object sender, ...
